Bill Hudson

Bill Hudson is the President and CEO of Hudson Consulting, a firm based in Annandale, Virginia centered on providing counsel to private industry in the formation of effective partnerships with governmental and non-governmental agencies and businesses and crafting innovative outreach strategies for successful advancement of legislation and policy initiatives. He served for more than 27 years on Active Duty, retiring in 2010 and subsequently served as a Senior Counsel in the Department of Defense, Office of General Counsel, and most recently, the Acting General Counsel to the Department of Veterans Affairs. While on Active Duty Bill held several assignments in the Special Operations Community to include: Staff Judge Advocate, U.S. Army 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.; Legal Advisor, Special Operations Central Command, MacDill AFB, Florida; Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.; and Command Judge Advocate, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

His education includes a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College; a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; a Master of Laws from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School; a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law; and a Bachelor of Arts from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He is admitted to practice before the State of South Carolina, the United States Army Court of Criminal Appeals, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States Supreme Court.

Bill and his wife Gaye live in Annandale, Virginia and have two children Will and Rachel. In addition to managing Hudson Consulting, he is currently serving on several non-profit organizations helping Veterans. Bill enjoys golf, but even more importantly, is dedicated to giving back to all the outstanding men and women of our Armed Forces who have served our great Nation.
